Acclaimed Dutch Folk singer Gitta de Ridder is excited to announce her new single, 'Shine Sun Shine', released on March 21st. 'Shine Sun Shine' is the second track off her forthcoming album, N(i)e(u)w Land, produced by Jonatan Backelie (Sweden) due out in June on her label Little Memories Records with an album release at London’s Green Note. The album contains themes around self-acceptance, longing, grief and change; a personal yet universal collection of works.

Although it's an original, ‘Shine Sun Shine’ resonates like a classic folk song. It's an instant 'sing-along' that lifts the spirit and warms the heart. Written during a time of grief after her father's passing, de Ridder beautifully captures a comforting embrace in the form of a song. Starting as a 'voice memo' which unfolds into full production as the song moves along, means listening to it feels like a journey in and of itself. One that pulls you in. One that is gentle, loving and kind. For moments when we need love most.
